I’m planning on making it to polo tonight. I don’t make it as much as I’d like, but you know, I’ve got stuff to do.
Polo is fun. Try to make it there yourself. The article on bicycle polo from issue #5 is now up online for everyone to enjoy. Make sure to check out Seattle Bicycle Polo on mySpace, there’s a ton of other city’s bike polo groups there too. And if you’re going to be on the East Coast late April, check out the ESPI.
I’ll hopefully have my polo bike completed, all I need to do is remove that cork sealing my seat tube, drop the seat and post in, and roll out. I’ll probably need a bit of lube on the chain and such as it’s been sitting outside my work for the past month. Perhaps you’ve seen it, locked up at 420 Dexter.
I’m not sure if I’ll make it with a new mallet too (need to get a piece or two of PVC piping to finish it off). And as I’ve hardly been playing much, I’ll just hang out until the newbie’s game gets started.
